ETHAL MAE MOVERS & SHAKERS

Ethel Mae Movers & Shakers was established by Mary Caldwell Boden- Harris in Honor of her mother, Ethel Mae Ellis-Caldwell. Mary "Boden", as she was affectionately known, was an educator who immersed herself in teaching for 32 years at all levels, elementary schools, junior high schools and Grambling State University. Her ultimate passion was helping people and teaching children. Because of this, she started a mentoring program named after her mother - Ethel Mae Caldwell. "Ethel Mae Movers & Shakers" (EMMS) providing educational opportunities to students through monthly activities including guest speakers, test talking skill, self care and community outreach such as nursing home visits, volunteering opportunities, and activities that exposed students to new careers and ways of life.
